Qualifications

• Working knowledge of basic analytic skills and organizational processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger using generally accepted accounting principles.
• Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations by due dates; research and resolve reconciling items.
• Review cost center structures and classify expenses to support month‑end processes.
• Prepare, verify, and record journal entries to the general ledger.
• Evaluate subsidiary journals for errors and finalize month‑end general ledger entries.
• Review monthly balance sheet and P&L statements for accuracy.
• Assist in coordinating month‑end closing and production of financial statements.
• Redesign and enhance online financial statements to reflect accurate financial position.
• Update monthly closing procedures and ensure documented accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor requests during audits.

Responsibilities

• Complete balance sheet and bank account reconciliations by established due dates; research and resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Review cost center and chart of account structures; recommend changes to accurately classify expenses and support month‑end processes.
• Prepare, verify, and control entry of journal entries to the general ledger.
• Evaluate subsidiary journals for errors, correct them, and execute month‑end general ledger entries.
• Review monthly balance sheet and profit‑and‑loss statements for accuracy.
• Assist in coordinating month‑end closing and production of financial statements.
• Redesign and enhance online financial statements to reflect accurate financial position.
• Update monthly closing procedures and ensure documented accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor requests during financial, SOX, or other audits.
• Monitor and track cash outflows; provide mandatory updates to management.
• Interact with field personnel; provide customer service in explaining monthly operating activity, investigating variances, and booking reclass entries.
• Correspond with third‑party financial institutions and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; mandatory.
• Zero to three years of related experience and/or training.
• Limited independent judgment; ability to follow precedents and guidelines; self‑refer to supervisor when necessary.
• Working knowledge of basic analytic skills, organizational processes, and the mandating work environment.
