Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in the United States. This role focuses on recording and reconciling financial transactions in compliance with U.S. GAAP, and coordinating Month-End and Year-End Close activities.

You will manage AP/AR, prepare analyses, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting LATAM operations when required. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of accounting experience with ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, QuickBooks)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience supporting U.S.-based companies or multinational organizations.
• Experience with Month-End Close, Year-End Close, financial statements, and tax compliance.
• Experience across US and LATAM accounting operations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and tax regulations.
• ERP system experience (Oracle NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks).
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions per U.S. GAAP.
• Execute Month-End Close and Year-End Close activities.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, GL reconciliations, and account analyses.
• Prepare financial statements, analyses, and reports for leadership.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. accounting/tax regulations; support LATAM as needed.
• Maintain organized records for audits and support audits.

Job description

• Manage and oversee the recording, classification, and reconciliation of financial transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies
• Execute and coordinate Month-End Close and Year-End Close activities
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations, General Ledger reconciliations, and account analyses
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses for executive leadership
• Ensure compliance with U.S. accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements while supporting LATAM accounting operations as needed
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation for audits
• Support financial, tax, and compliance audits by providing documentation and responding to requests
• Improve accounting processes, automate workflows, and strengthen internal controls
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5 years of accounting experience supporting U.S.-based companies or multinational organizations
• Experience managing Month-End Close, Year-Year Close, financial statement preparation, and tax compliance
• Experience supporting accounting operations across both the United States and Latin America (LATAM)
• Strong background in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger accounting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Solid understanding of U.S. accounting and tax regulations
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, financial functions, and data analysis
• Professional English proficiency (C1 or higher) required
• Fluent Spanish required
• CPA certification or equivalent is highly preferred
