Job summary

Ameritas in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking an accounting professional to support general financial accounting activities in a hybrid role, splitting time between in-office and remote work.

You will ensure accurate transactions, respond to internal inquiries, document process improvements, and assist audits while maintaining controls and financial integrity.

A two-year accounting background and an associate degree are required, with experience in invoices and purchase orders preferred.

Job Description

This position provides accounting professional and management support for the general financial accounting activities for the organization in compliance with regulatory policies. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the delivery of accurate, timely, and reliable financial operations, data, and reporting. This is a hybrid role working partially in-office (Lincoln, NE) and partially from home.

• Identifies and executes appropriate actions, within tolerable risk, to complete daily work.
• Assists and responds to internal partners situations and inquiries.
• Suggests and documents improvements to existing processes and solutions.
• Ensures transactional accounting accuracy, identifies technical and operational issues, and resolves or escalates issues as needed.
• Produces financial and/or management output as required.
• Prioritizes own work assignments.
• Consults with internal or external parties for their area of expertise.
• Provides support as needed for audits/exams.
• Adheres to a consistent approach and ensures controls are in place to maintain the financial integrity of the business area.

About this Position's Pay

The pay range posted reflects a nationwide minimum to maximum covering all potential locations where the position may be filled. The final determination on pay for any position will be based on multiple factors including role, career level, work location, skill set, and candidate level of experience to ensure pay equity within the organization. This position will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits package (see above for details). This position will be eligible to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Plan with the annual target defined by the plan.
