Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rochester (CCDOR) is seeking an Accountant to join the Finance Department in Rochester, NY. The role requires GAAP knowledge for not-for-profit entities, strong analytical skills, and the ability to produce timely financial reports.
You will prepare journal entries, review statements with program leaders, assist audits, and develop budgets and forecasts for funded programs while ensuring compliance with CCDOR policies and external reporting requirements.

An Accountant at Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rochester (CCDOR) will handle multiple tasks with deadlines and provide transparent and complete reports to management in accordance with CCDOR’s Financial Policies and GAAP. This position requires a firm grasp of general accounting theory, techniques, and practices in addition to strong computer and verbal and written communication skills. The position reports to a member of CCDOR’s Finance Department leadership team and supports members of CCDOR’s programmatic staff and leadership teams.
Individuals holding this position at CCDOR should be prompt, detail-oriented, professional, and analytical. The ability to successfully communicate complex quantitative data to decision-makers is essential.

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with requisite experience may be substituted at CFO discretion.
Relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.
