Job summary

Abacus Solutions Group is seeking an Accountant for a client located in Columbus, OH. This temporary-to-perm position starts ASAP and involves hands-on accounting duties.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, proficiency with QuickBooks Online, and strong Microsoft Office skills. You will reconcile accounts, process payroll entries, and prepare monthly financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts including payroll liabilities and clearing accounts.
• Record expenses and deposits in QuickBooks Online daily or weekly.
• Record monthly journal entries including payroll and revenue allocations.
• Reconcile assets and liability accounts.
• Produce monthly financial reports, including balance sheet and income statement.
• Account recordkeeping and reconciliation.
• Work accurately with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of payroll setup, submission, review, and payroll journal entries.
• Pay vendor bills and record in QuickBooks Online.
• Process payroll and record payroll journal entries.
• Manage 401K contributions.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts such as payroll liabilities and clearing accounts
• Record expenses and deposits in QuickBooks Online on a daily or weekly basis
• Record monthly journal entries including payroll, revenue allocations, etc.
• Reconcile assets and liability accounts
• Produce monthly financial reports, including balance sheet and income statement
• Account recordkeeping and reconciliation
• Works accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision, meeting company expectations and deadlines
• Working knowledge of preparing payroll setup, submission, review, and journal entries
• Paying vendor bills and record in QuickBooks Online
• Process payroll and record payroll journal entries
• Manage 401K contributions

Requirements:

• 3+ years of accounting experience required.
• Experience with QuickBooks online preferred.
