Circuit Clinical is seeking an Accountant to join our team. The role focuses on financial reporting for studies, CTMS reconciliation with the general ledger, and supporting monthly closes. The ideal candidate will have a finance or accounting degree and experience in clinical research or biotech contexts.

The position offers part-time, hybrid work in the Buffalo area with potential growth. You will collaborate with the accounting team to improve reporting and support budgeting and forecasting

Competenze

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar.
  • 1+ years experience within the clinical research industry, and/or pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred.
  • Sage Intacct experience preferred.

Mansioni

  • Develop monthly reporting metrics for study financials including P&L, AR and rate monitoring.
  • Reconcile CTMS data with general ledger and analyze clinical trial performance.
  • Assist monthly close with journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis.
  • Own accounts payable: vendor management, W-9s, 1099s, payments, tax tracking, expense reporting.
  • Collect and analyze data to validate financial model assumptions.
  • Reconcile study budgets to actuals.
  • Support accounting system integrations and user acceptance testing.

Requirements
What You Will Bring to Circuit Clinical:
You’ll Be Responsible For:
  • Develop monthly reporting metrics for study financials including P&L, Accounts receivable and effective rate.
  • Ensure appropriate flow of financial information by reconciling Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) and general ledger data and provide analysis on clinical trial performance.
  • Assist with the monthly closing process, including preparation and entry of general journal entries and reconciliations, reporting and variance analysis
  • Own the accounts payable cycle by managing vendors, verifying bank information, managing W-9’s, sending 1099’s, making payments, sales tax tracking, expense reporting, credit card reconciliation, and process documentation
  • Collect and analyze business and financial data to validate financial model assumptions
  • Reconcile study budgets to actuals
  • Finance point person for accounting information system integrations with other business systems including user acceptance testing and connections through API
  • Assist the accounting manager with audit analytics (planning, substantive, and final)
  • Collaborate with the accounting manager on improving reporting and preparing for any future transactions
  • Manage monthly expense reporting dashboard for department heads and answering questions they have on functionality or significant fluctuations. Utilize this information to inform the forecast and budget process
  • Additional duties as assigned
Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar
  • 1+ years experience within the clinical research industry, and/or pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred
  • Sage Intacct experience preferred

The Other Fine Print:

Location: Preference will be given to candidates located in the Buffalo, NY area who are able to work in a hybrid capacity. We will also consider qualified candidates for fully remote employment in the following states: NY, NJ, PA, KY, WI, and MO

Exemption Status: Part-time, non-exempt, 20-25 hours per week with potential to grow into a full-time role
