Job summary

Admiral Security Services is seeking a security officer to join our team in Columbia, MD. The position covers a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

The role involves access control, enforcement of site policies, and routine patrols to ensure safety and security across the contract site. Candidates must be 21+, pass background and drug screening, and possess excellent customer service abilities.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a Maryland Security Guard card and driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.

• Conduct routine foot patrols in and around the building.
• Report all issues to operations manager, client and ADM managers as appropriate.
• Interact with clients, visitors, public safety officials and employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Available Shift:Monday - Friday7:00 am - 3:00 pmPay: $20.00 HourlyLocation: Columbia, Md. (very close to Columbia Mall)

The selected candidate will perform various security duties as outlined by contract requirements and site-specific post orders. These duties may include:

• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• EnforcementofClient and Company policies and procedures.
• Observation and reporting of security and safety hazards.
• Conduct of routine foot patrols in and around building.
• Reporting of all pertinent issues and incidents to the operations manager, the client and other Admiral/ADM Department Managers as appropriate.
• Interaction with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the general public.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position may require work inside and outside in varying temperatures. This position requires standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, bending and some lifting. A portion of this position may require sitting in front of a computer for prolonged periods of time.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen(we test for the followingAmphetamines, including methamphetamines, Cocaine, Marijuana/THC, Phencyclidine and Opiates)
• Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must be comfortable with Microsoft office products.
• Must be able to operate and maintain site specific security programs.
• Must haveat least 5 years of verifiable work experience and 3 years of supervisory experience. One year of military, concierge or an AA or BA in a related field will be considered.
• Must have a Maryland Security Guard card.
• Must have a active drivers license with no points.
