TrueNorth Companies LLC in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring an Account Specialist to deliver high-quality client service on the Transportation team. You will handle a high volume of calls, process applications, and manage policies with accuracy.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, professionalism, and building client relationships, with a hybrid work schedule and benefits package. A P&C license may be pursued after joining.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required; two or four-year degree preferred.
• Experience handling high call volumes or similar workload.
• Insurance industry experience preferred; customer service focus.
• Experience with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).
• Ability to obtain P&C license within 30 days of employment.

Mansioni

• Answer incoming calls professionally, 40–60 per day.
• Provide consistent, timely, accurate service to clients.
• Maintain and update client management systems as needed.
• Process applications and policy changes as requested.
• Create and send proof of insurance for clients and lienholders.
• Build knowledge through CE, designations, and training offerings.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, internal and external.
• Meet deadlines set with your Leader and plan work in advance.
• Review carrier/client documentation for accuracy per standards.
• Demonstrate willingness to take on new department responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions:

• Answer incoming calls professionally and efficiently, handling an average of 40-60 calls per day to support client service needs
• Maintain quality customer service with clients daily by providing consistent, timely and accurate service
• Maintain and update client management systems as necessary
• Manage requests such as processing applications, making policy changes, etc.
• Create and send proof of insurance for clients, lienholders, and other interested parties
• Increase industry and job knowledge as measured by attendance at continuing education, attaining, or updating designations, and participation in other agency training offerings
• Assist in building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, both internal and external
• Meet new and renewal or project deadlines as set between you and your Leader
• Organize time in advance so all work and projects are completed on time and with appropriate content and organization
• Review applicable incoming carrier and/or client documentation for accuracy and process within agency standards
• Demonstrate the ability to expand knowledge by assuming new responsibilities in the department or working on department projects
• Maintain confidentiality of client and company information
• Regular and reliable attendance, including physical presence in assigned TrueNorth office location

Credentials:

• High School diploma or GED required, two or four-year degree preferred
• Experience managing high call volumes or similar workload required
• One year of customer service experience is preferred
• Experience in the insurance industry is preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic PowerPoint functions
• Ability to obtain P&C license within 30 days of employment
