Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Full-time Account Specialist at our Allentown, PA location (7036 Snowdrift Rd). You will develop and execute a sales plan in the local territory to reach and exceed sales goals, while supporting the branch's key accounts and growing your assigned book of business.

This role requires a driver’s license, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Ideal candidates have a degree in Business/Marketing or relevant industry experience, are highly motivated,

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old
• Possess a current full valid driver’s license for the job location and able to meet driving requirements
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business/Marketing or have related industry experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages 25lbs-50lbs (up to 75lbs)
• Pass drug screen (US, Puerto Rico, Guam)

OVERVIEW:

Elevate your career as a Full-time Account Specialist, where you can take your sales and customer service skills to the next level. You'll be on the front lines of growing and supporting our branch key accounts, through building relationships and matching products and solutions to customer needs. This position is for our branch located at 7036 Snowdrift Rd, Allentown, PA 18106.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing and executing a sales plan in a local territory to reach and exceed sales goals
• Supporting the day-to-day needs of the branch's key accounts
• Working directly with key accounts
• Growing and maintaining an assigned book of business
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business/Marketing OR have related industry experience and knowledge of the local market
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
