Komatsu is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager for its Fort Meade, Florida, location.

The Sr. Account Manager is responsible for managing the entire account process for a high-strategic mine site(s) that are crucial to Komatsu. This role involves coordinating communication between Komatsu and the mine site, focusing on value creation for customers and suppliers. The Sr. Account Manager will primarily execute tasks directly with the customer daily, understanding and leveraging the politics at the mine site, especially when dealing with a global parent company. The work impacts customer satisfaction, loyalty, and the overall success of the Global Account Management strategy, with heavy involvement in the customer's Maintenance, Operations, and Purchasing functions. Developing continuous improvement and safety projects in partnership with the mine(s) is essential.

Key Job Responsibilities

Account Managers should spend over 80% of their time with customers, building relationships, evaluating performance, and identifying opportunities. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing various customer relationships
  • Supporting Supply Chain initiatives
  • Leading Capital Procurement efforts
  • Promoting safety initiatives such as ZERO HARM and FLRA
  • Establishing regular review meetings covering delivery, service, pricing, and machine performance
  • Facilitating interactions between Komatsu and customer personnel
  • Assessing relationship quality between Komatsu and the customer
  • Developing continuous improvement partnerships
  • Assisting parts planning and sales forecasting
  • Having knowledge of mining processes and equipment
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Experience in building partnerships, achieving sales goals, working in teams, and negotiating with clients
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement projects using methodologies like Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and related tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, considering the big picture
  • Customer-facing experience in negotiations and dispute resolution
  • Interest in heavy equipment and technical applications
  • 3-5 years in Account Management, Sales, or Project Management in an OEM environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field, emphasizing business finance
