Job summary

Spectrum is seeking an Account Manager for Retail Big Box to build and manage relationships with leading retailers, driving sales performance and ensuring Spectrum's brand standards are upheld across national store networks.

You will execute field sales operations, train partners, analyze performance, and develop growth plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related experience in sales or account management.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily relationships with Big Box retailers and vendors to maximize sales.
• Execute field sales strategies and support audits, training, and reviews.
• Lead meetings to ensure targets, quality standards, and KPIs.
• Provide product and promotion information to drive awareness and sales.
• Collaborate with partner owners to develop growth plans aligned with Spectrum’s goals.
• Coordinate with Operations and Strategy to implement initiatives.
• Organize events, staffing, merchandising, and sales execution.
• Monitor sales metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide reports and feedback to channel leadership.
• Prospect and onboard new partners to grow Spectrum’s retail footprint.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Manage daily relationships with assigned Big Box Retailers and third-party vendors to maximize sales opportunities and uphold Spectrum's brand standards
• Execute strategies, conduct field sales operations, and support partners through audits, training, business reviews, and product knowledge sessions
• Lead regular meetings and trainings to ensure partners meet sales targets, maintain quality standards, and achieve key performance indicators
• Deliver comprehensive product, promotion, and offering information to partners to drive awareness and sales
• Collaborate with partner owners to develop and manage growth plans that align with Spectrum’s objectives
• Work closely with Operations, Strategy, and divisional teams to ensure departmental alignment and successful implementation of initiatives
• Coordinate special events, oversee staffing and merchandising, and facilitate sales execution to maximize retail performance
• Monitor sales metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance partner performance
• Provide actionable reports and feedback to channel leadership to influence sales strategy and resolve challenges
• Prospect and onboard new business partners to expand Spectrum’s retail footprint and drive incremental sales

Working Conditions

• Spend approximately 20 percent of your time in the office and 80 percent in the field with weekly visits to assigned partners and retail locations
• Participate in occasional division-wide travel as required

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience

Experience

• 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training

Skills

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Strong sales presentation and problem-solving skills with demonstrated initiative
• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Flexibility to work retail hours and adjust schedule as needed to maximize sales opportunities
• Reliable transportation
• Valid and active state driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory

• 5+ years of strong sales experience with a proven track record
