Accelevents is seeking an experienced Account Manager to own renewals and expansion for a portfolio of strategic customers in the US. You’ll partner with Customer Success to drive commercial outcomes, craft growth plans, and close multi-year opportunities.
In this role you’ll manage renewals with discipline, build quantified growth plans across event, module, and enterprise gaps, and maintain accurate forecasts in HubSpot. A track record of growing existing accounts in B2B SaaS is essential.
Accelevents is an all-in-one event management platform for in-person, virtual and hybrid events: ticketing and registration, event apps, check-in and badge printing, exhibitor lead capture, streaming, and networking. Associations, corporates, PCOs, agencies, nonprofits and universities use it to run conferences, trade shows and event programs.
Our post-sale organization has three teams: Customer Success owns the account day-to-day, Support handles product questions, and Account Management owns renewal and growth. This role sits in Account Management.
You own renewal and expansion for a portfolio of existing customers, including some of our most strategic accounts.
This is a commercial role, not a support or relationship-only role. Your job is to renew cleanly, find where customers can get more from Accelevents, and close that growth.
You’ll partner with a Customer Success Manager on every account. The CSM owns adoption, health, and the day-to-day relationship, and hands you qualified expansion leads (CSQLs). You own the commercial conversation: the renewal, the growth plan, the proposal, and the close. The CSM stays on the account throughout.
Run renewals on a consistent cadence. Work each renewal well ahead of the contract end date, from account review with the CSM through proposal, negotiation, and signature. Apply our pricing and uplift policies and negotiate with discipline.
Build and work growth plans. For your key accounts, you’ll own a growth plan that sizes the opportunity and puts a value on three gaps:
Event gap — events the customer runs that aren’t on Accelevents
Module gap — badge printing and check-in, exhibitor lead capture, streaming, networking, CEU tracking, integrations
Structural gap — single-event to annual, annual to multi-year, one department to an enterprise agreement
Each plan names a primary motion, the proof the customer needs, the champion strategy, and dated next steps.
Run the expansion playbook. You’ll work a set of defined motions, including share-of-wallet expansion, module attach, multi-year agreements, cross-department expansion, and the agency channel.
Work CSQLs fast. Qualify every CSM-sourced lead promptly, follow up with the customer, and keep the CSM updated through to the outcome.
Build the agency channel. Event agencies often buy for one client’s event and leave when it ends. You’ll map each agency’s client roster, reframe the relationship with the owner or practice lead, put our reseller and white-label terms in front of them, and run quarterly reviews on their pipeline.
Staff the save desk. Lead commercial saves on at-risk accounts using a defined set of retention offers, and capture why customers leave.
Keep the forecast honest. Report renewals and expansion pipeline accurately in the weekly forecast, and keep every open deal current in HubSpot.
CSQL acceptance SLA
Pipeline hygiene
Week 1: Product, pricing and packaging, the uplift policy, contract structures, HubSpot and Chargebee. Exit: you can price and quote a standard renewal with uplift on your own.
Week 2: The expansion playbook and CSQL bar; shadow live calls. Exit: you can name the right motion for a given account.
Week 3: A starter book of accounts and your first growth plans. Exit: first growth plans approved.
Week 4: Full territory and renewal calendar; first independent renewals. Exit: calendar complete and forecast submitted.
Week 5: CSQL intake live, agency roster mapping started, save desk participation. Exit: operating independently on the weekly forecast cadence.
Required
4+ years in a B2B SaaS account management, renewals, or expansion role with a quota or retention target
A track record of growing existing accounts, not just renewing them, with numbers you can walk us through
Comfort running a large book of accounts while doing deep growth work on the most strategic ones
Strong commercial judgment: pricing, multi-year structures, negotiating uplift and holding a concession ladder
Discipline with CRM and forecasting; HubSpot experience preferred
Clear writing skills. Growth plans, CSQL rejections, and forecasts are written, and they get read
Nice to have
Experience in event technology or with event organizers: associations, PCOs, agencies, corporate field marketing
Experience building a channel or reseller motion with agencies or partners
Experience with strategic, multi-stakeholder accounts and enterprise agreements
Familiarity with Chargebee or similar subscription billing tools
Compensation: competitive base plus variable tied to renewal and expansion targets.
