ChemTreat, Inc. is looking for an Account Manager I in Virginia, MN to develop key sales strategies and customer relationships under the supervision of an experienced account manager. The role will involve exposure to technical water treatment problem-solving while fostering professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, and 0-2 years of customer interaction experience. This is a developmental role designed for growth within ChemTreat.
The Account Manager I is a developmental role that involves job shadowing and working alongside and under the supervision of an experienced account manager. This role is designed to expose the associate to technical water treatment problem‑solving and fundamentals to customer selling.
Bachelor of Science; engineering or technical degree preferred.
0–2 years of experience interacting with customers at all levels of an organization. Experience in water treatment preferred.
Travel dependent on the size of the assigned territory; may require long hours and varied work schedules. Must sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and use hands to handle, feel or operate objects and a computer keyboard. Must routinely reach with hands and arms, lift, carry, push or pull up to 60 pounds and sometimes maneuver drums weighing 250–800 pounds. Occasionally required to climb stairs, ladders, and work at high elevations for extended periods. May be required to drive short and long distances, not to exceed DOT regulations. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for deliveries which may include eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective apron, steel‑toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields. Work may be in extreme heat conditions, at indoor and outdoor sites with high noise levels. Locations may be at a boiler house or outdoor sites such as cooling towers, water plants, wastewater plants, or process areas. Use of hazardous chemicals is routine. Collaborative working environment touches all levels within the customer organization.
