Job Details Summary

The Account Manager/Territory Manager will be responsible for executing on the strategic and operational plan as directed by the Chief Commercial Officer and Regional Sales Director by representing products to new and existing customers, while achieving sales expectations/quota of an assigned territory. Territory spans Downtown and South Los Angeles areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive all daily sales objectives focusing on territory growth, including new account targeting, cultivation, and launch planning.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans in a quarterly quota-based system by implementing sales strategies determined by relevant existing and potential factors.
  • Direct all training and education planning during account launches.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in presenting and implementing Performance Guarantees in key accounts and following up with Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Transfer account knowledge and other requested information to the leadership team on a regular basis.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policy, procedures, the Quality System, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with clinical specialists and align the team around the business plan.
  • Make clinical and economic presentations to customers, committee members and relevant staff.
  • Build and maintain solid customer relationships, including KOL cultivation and maintenance.
  • Maintain company standards involving ethical and moral character, and always represent the company with the highest professional standards.
  • Develop relationships with hospital administrative staff and execute corporate contracts where appropriate.
  • Demonstrate outstanding product knowledge and impart this knowledge while providing input to the broader organization, including training new hires, cross-covering territories as needed, sharing best practices, providing input into marketing programs, and sharing competitive intelligence.
Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of medical device market, products, and customers.
Experience and Education Requirements
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of directly related experience in medical device sales strongly preferred.
Skills
  • Strong work ethic coupled with a sense of urgency to accomplish objectives.
  • Highly developed business acumen with experience targeting and prioritizing key customer accounts.
  • Ability to establish personal credibility in the territory to deliver messages to clinical staff, administrators, and physicians and to overcome obstacles.
  • Emotional intelligence to manage schedule and clinical resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Previous experience selling medical devices to Interventional Cardiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, and administrators in the territory.
  • Strategic thinker who is an aggressive planner with flexibility, ingenuity, and resourcefulness, effective as both leader and team member.
Physical Demands

Ability to stand for long hours and wear heavy cath lab protective clothing.

Work Environment

Hospital, cath lab, physician offices. Travel may be required.

Pay Transparency: The pay range for this role is $86,800.00-$161,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate’s location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics' employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for a sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, with a target amount varying based on the applicable role, governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role. In addition to compensation, the Company offers a competitive suite of benefits, including a 401(k) with up to a 6% employer match and no vesting period, an employee stock purchase plan, flexible time off for salaried employees, and for hourly employees accrual of three to five weeks’ vacation annually (based on tenure), accrual of up to 64 hours of paid sick time, paid and/or floating holidays, parental leave, short- and long-term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and health and welfare benefits.
