Job summary

Graybar is seeking an Account Manager in Phoenix to serve as the primary contact for key accounts, develop strategic account plans, and drive profitable growth.

You will identify opportunities, present new products, collaborate with suppliers, and work toward annual sales budgets while delivering exceptional service.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in sales, a 4-year degree, strong communication and RFI/RFP experience, and a commitment to building long‑term partnerships.

• Familiarity with RFIs and RFPs.

Are you ready?As an Account Manager, you will be the point person on key accounts. We will count on you to service these key accounts and solicit new business to maximize profitability. You will position Graybar as the primary supplier of electrical, communications, and security products and solutions.In this role you will:Implement strategy to increase sales and profits from key accountsIdentify opportunities to improve productivityUnderstand customer business needs and work closely with our supplier partners to help find solutions to meet those needsGive presentations on new products, answer questions on products and Company servicesAttain or exceed sales and profit budgetWhat you bring to the table:4+ years experience preferred4 year degree preferredStrong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP)Compensation Details: The expected base salary for this position is starting at $90,000 annually depending on experience. This position is also bonus eligible - based on specific and relevant business metrics.This role requires the use of your personal vehicle for business purposes. Graybar offers a Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) reimbursement program to support eligible drivers. This program allows you to choose and drive your own vehicle, rather than a company-assigned car, and your reimbursements can help you build equity in your vehicle over time. Please note that certain vehicle requirements, such as age and original MSRP, may impact your eligibility for tax-free reimbursement.
