Job Summary: Under the direction of the VP – Sign Programs, the Account Manager position is responsible for overseeing the operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of programs typically consisting of several projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow the business within the Stratus customer base. Identify new opportunities with customers.
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team of 6-10 direct reports which often includes other people leaders.
- Submit proposals and RFP’s for existing customers and oversee proposal submittal for existing customers.
- Assist Accounting in collections of aging accounts receivables and resolve customer disputes.
- Escalate issues arising from Stakeholder concerns and work diligently to resolve issues.
- Organize programs and initiatives to support the mission, goals, and objectives of the company.
- Produce complete, accurate, and timely reporting of program and project statuses.
- Manage complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.
- Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities, and project milestones.
- Extensive understanding of project management principles, methods, and techniques.

- Performance reviews, staff development, and execution of disciplinary action.
- Monitor the performance of staff.
- Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
- Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
- Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with the organization’s best practices.
- Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
- Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project.
- Assign new work to the team.
- Provide management with forecasting numbers, program concerns, and employee opportunities.
- Set and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum 5+ years of project management experience.
- Minimum 4+ years of management experience.
- 3+ years of industry/sales experience.
- Extensive experience leading and managing initiatives.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Display qualities such as motivational techniques and conflict-management.
- Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management.
- Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executive sponsors, team members, stakeholders, and peers.
- Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), SmartSheet, etc.
- Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
- Strong leadership, diplomatic skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business areas within the organization.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
Education, Experience, Certifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field preferred.
- Project management certificate (certificates administered by PMI) preferred.
Physical and mental demands
- Position may require working outside of regularly scheduled hours as business needs arise.
- This position is based in a general office setting with typical office physical demands including sitting, standing, moving from place to place within the office, typing on a computer keyboard, bending to reach file cabinets, and occasional lifting of packages less than 25 pounds.
Working Conditions (if applicable)
- Travel (10%-15%) could be required and may require overnight stays away from the office for customer interaction, social functions, and/or sales events.
Travel Requirements
This position is required to travel as an essential function of this role due to the need for in-person interaction with customers, field partners, and/or business stakeholders. Travel may include local, regional, or national destinations and may be conducted via automobile, air, or other modes of transportation. All travel must be pre-approved in accordance with company policy and conducted in compliance with applicable safety and expense guidelines.

Pay Range
$75,000- $95,000 annually - Pay range listed reflects the potential pay for this role. The pay will depend on various factors, such as responsibilities of the position, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Not all positions posted will have a pay range listed.
