Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services, DC-based, seeks an experienced insurance professional to manage a large book of business and provide exceptional client service. You’ll support Account Executives, coordinate renewals, and drive marketing and coverage decisions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years of relevant experience, and an active Insurance License with ongoing CE compliance. Growth opportunities and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Eight (8) or more years related work experience preferred.
• Valid Insurance License required; continuing education compliance must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Supports more experienced Account Executives on large accounts and may lead a service team.
• Initiates renewal process and discusses renewal strategy with Regional Director or Producer.
• Analyzes exposures and develops renewal or new business specifications for marketing.
• Conducts marketing, negotiates rates, reviews quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy.
• Reviews policies for accuracy and coordinates with service team for binders and certificates.
• Coordinates claims process with claims staff to deliver client service.

SUMMARY

Responsible for handling a larger book of business and providing customer service and overall service of assigned customers and/or policies. Supports and may at times lead a service team with some oversight from a more experienced Account Executives or direct manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports more experienced Account Executive's on more sophisticated large accounts and may also be responsible for direct management of assigned accounts;
• Initiates renewal process for existing clients, and discusses and creates renewal strategy with Regional Director or Producer;
• Analyzes and compares current exposures and develops renewal or new business specifications for marketing;
• Conducts marketing, negotiates rates, reviews quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy;
• Independently reviews policy and determines appropriate coverage; identifies possible deficiencies;
• Reviews and summarizes marketing results and prepares proposals;
• Finalizes proposals and presentations in coordination with a Service team, Regional Director or Producer;
• Binds insurance coverage and prepares binders and/or delegate certificates issuance;
• Reviews policies for accuracy and review contracts for compliance;
• Prepares summaries and/or schedules of coverage for clients or delegates and manages the process with a service team;
• Reviews client accounting history, responds to accounting inquiries, corrects discrepancies, and contacts client on receivable collections;
• Responsible to coordinate the claims process for assigned accounts with assigned claims staff; work in tandem with assigned claims advocates to deliver Client service;
• Notifies producer or service team of pertinent information related to client retention;
• Meets with clients as needed or directed by Producer;
• Provides mentoring to staff to support immediate supervisor;
• Collection of fees, reconciliation and resolution of any outstanding balances within 60 days of invoicing date;
• Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
• Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Eight (8) or more years related work experience
• Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by supervisor
• Valid Insurance License
• Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
