Account Manager - Cultures & Dairy Enzymes

This position is responsible for managing a territory of Dairy customers as part of the Health & Biosciences Platform of IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances). As an Account Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for executing the business strategy, providing a high level of service to customers, and owning the sales revenue and gross profit of the region. An Account Manager is expected to collaborate with all internal departments within IFF to help Business Units and customers achieve their goals. Position can be remote, preferably in the Midwest. There will be 50% travel included in this role to visit our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sell entire product portfolio to new and existing accounts in the cheese industry.
  • Achieve sales revenue and gross profit targets for the Cultures/Dairy Enzymes business unit.
  • Develop short- and long-term strategy to achieve sales growth.
  • Build project pipeline to sustain growth targets.
  • Manage all aspects of the selling process.
  • Manage and build relationships with existing customers.
  • Work closely with demand planning, providing monthly forecast guidance.
  • Update opportunities in SalesForce as they progress.
  • Focus on the customer.
  • Work with IFF Business Units to help them achieve their goal.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors/Masters in Food, Dairy Science or related field.
  • 2+ years' experience in Dairy, Cheese Manufacturing or Enzymes industry.
  • 2+ years' experience in sales and/or account management with a demonstrated business and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to travel 50% for customer meetings.
  • You demonstrate a passion for the dairy industry and have a solid practical understanding of dairy processing and cheese production.
  • You collaborate and perform well in cross-functional teams.
  • You are self-motivated and like to be challenged while working for a dynamic organization.
