Position Details

Title: Account Manager - Commercial Lines
Location: Remote (Florida Residents Only, based out of Jacksonville, FL)
Focus Areas: General, Construction, Property

Responsibilities
  • Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business development.
  • Coordinate administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues with accuracy.
  • Handle policy management, including expirations and renewals.
  • Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals during renewal processes.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on delinquent accounts, and collect outstanding balances.
  • Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Communicate regularly with the team about workload and issues.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and proactively address client needs.
  • Stay updated on company policies and procedures, and seek continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate integrity and leadership aligned with IOA values.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  • Active licensing required; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional customer service, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
