Job summary

Viral Nation in New York is seeking an Account Manager to oversee day‑to‑day client programs, coordinating with Client Services and our COE to execute social‑first strategies that deliver on client goals.

You will manage campaigns end‑to‑end, lead a team of account staff, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders while ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence. This role requires 3+ years in advertising services or influencer/affiliate marketing and solid CRM experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in advertising services, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, or related fields.
• Experience in inter-agency teamwork (IAT).
• Experience developing and executing client programs.
• Experience with affiliate programs generating >$1M in revenue.
• Direct experience with CRM and mail-merge tools.
• Experience with complex Excel/Google Sheets processes, formulas, and script integration.
• Passion for influencer and affiliate marketing.
• Ability to delegate and review junior staff work effectively.
• Proactive and able to manage upwards.

Position Overview

The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in the day‑to‑day execution of client programs, working in partnership with the Client Services teams and our Center of Excellence (COE) to execute social‑first marketing strategies built to deliver on client goals. Account Managers are stewards of the VN process and proactively manage the campaign execution. They display exceptional time management and organizational skills and thrive on adaptability, assignments, and tight deadlines. The Account Manager is responsible for successful project delivery and oversees Account Coordinators and Account Executives from project initiation to successful campaign execution and delivery.

What You'll Do Here

• Proactively build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of influencer, affiliate, and social media marketing and keep up to date with current industry trends.
• Develop a clear understanding of clients’ goals and objectives and translate that into actionable tasks and manage the outcome.
• Demonstrate tactical proficiency in influencer management, one‑to‑one affiliate partner management, managing CRM systems, proficiency in mass email design, ongoing performance tracking and reporting on results.
• Execute and oversee strategies including influencer marketing, affiliate strategy, CRM strategy, community management and more.
• Develop email newsletters for affiliates, outlining exclusive offers and marketing expectations with oversight from the senior leadership team.
• Exhibit effective project management working closely with the team to prepare status reports for clients.
• Be a master of process and care about the minutiae of how work is done to ensure efficiencies and practicalities.
• Effectively work within account budget parameters and assist with budget management.
• Participate in the presentation process including research, audits and proposal development.
• Manage team development and growth to meet the demands and expectations of clients.
• Oversee your team’s influencer marketing campaigns through VN’s proprietary platform.

You'll Need To Have

• At least 3 years of experience in advertising services, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, or related fields.
• Experience working as part of an inter‑agency team (IAT).
• Experience in developing and executing successful client programs.
• Experience working on affiliate programs that generated total revenue exceeding $1 million.
• Direct experience with CRM and mail‑merge tools and platforms.
• Experience working with complex Excel or Google Sheet processes, formulas, and script integration.
• Passion and deep understanding of influencer and affiliate marketing.
• Experience effectively delegating and/or executing many tactical assignments and accurately reviewing and elevating the work of junior staff.
• Proactive, unafraid to manage up.
