Scope/Purpose of the Position
The Account Manager is responsible for providing operational support to Sales and Broker Partners. The Account Manager will work as the liaison between the broker and internal departments to facilitate pipeline management.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Account Management
- Point of contact for Sales, Brokers and internal departments throughout the process of the loan.
- Review new loan approvals with Broker, address questions and/or concerns and set expectations for delivery of outstanding approval conditions.
- Monitor and review incoming documents from Broker, verifying the data collected is accurate, meets established standards and satisfies approval conditions.
- Communicates proactively with Broker and Account Executive regarding file status or specific conditions and facilitate elevations regarding conditions to the proper areas as needed.
- Inform the Broker and Sales of discrepancies or potential issues with regards to the title, appraisals, credit, employment, income and other related items in the loan file.
- Proactively monitor approved pipeline to ensure loans are viable and actively proceeding to closing.
- Responsible for the management of aged pipeline and communicates with Sales and Brokers to ensure non-viable loans are cancelled as necessary.
- Responsible for the timely and compliant redisclosure of loans due to Change of Circumstance.
- Responsible for timely and compliant completion of CD’s
- Coordinates loans submitted to Closing in a timely manner that meet set standards for completeness and accuracy.
- Verifies that all requirements of Homebridge policies and procedures, as they pertain to Account Management, have been met.
- Perform other related duties assigned by Team Lead or other members of management.
Work Experience and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to adapt to and understand Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA processing guidelines.
- Working knowledge of RESPA, TRID, Reg-Z, MDIA and related compliance guidelines, along with the ability to detect and rectify deficiencies and/or non-compliance on specific loans.
- Excellent analytic skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within time constraints.
- Excellent level of oral and written communication skills; Ability to communicate across a variety of audiences.
- Intermediate level of computer skills and the ability to function in a windows environment utilizing Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Professional and effective interpersonal skills; Solid decision-making skills with display of professionalism in maintaining confidentiality. Ability to build strong relationships with internal business partners to achieve success.
- Ability to rapidly acquire detailed knowledge of departmental policies, practices and procedures.
- Strong time management skills, fast learner, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Committed to taking responsibility and ownership for agreed actions and delivery.
- Reports to work on a daily and timely basis.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent training
- One to three years’ experience in related role
