Monetate is a leading personalization and experimentation platform trusted by some of the world's most recognizable brands. We help enterprise retailers, financial services firms, and consumer brands turn customer data into real business outcomes, powering millions of decisions every day. With our acquisition of Simon AI, we now bring together digital personalization, experimentation, and a warehouse-native customer data platform with agentic marketing technology — a combined footprint that materially expands what every one of our customers can buy from us.
This role sits at the center of that opportunity. As an Account Manager, you own the commercial relationship with a portfolio of enterprise and mid-enterprise customers: the renewal, the expansion, the pricing conversation, and the negotiation. You work shoulder to shoulder with the Technical Customer Success Managers who own the day-to-day relationship and technical value delivery. They earn the customer’s trust and prove program value through technical delivery. And you convert it into contract value, retention, and growth.
You will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, which means high visibility, direct coaching, and swiftness between your judgment and the decision.
What You Will Do
- Own the full commercial lifecycle for a portfolio of enterprise and mid-enterprise accounts: renewal strategy, expansion strategy, pricing, proposal, negotiation, and close
- Build and execute renewal plans 120–180 days ahead of expiration, with a documented point of view on risk, value realized, connection to the customer’s business, and the commercial ask
- Partner with Technical Customer Success Managers as a two-in-a-box team — they own the relationship and technical outcomes, you own the commercial motion, and you build the account strategy together
- Drive expansion across the portfolio: additional products, additional business units, additional volume, multi-year commitments, and cross-sell of Simon AI into the Monetate base and Monetate products into the Simon AI base
- Build multi-threaded relationships into procurement, finance, and executive economic buyers — not just the program’s day-to-day champion or daily contacts
- Translate platform performance and business impact into a commercial case that survives a CFO's scrutiny
- Negotiate commercial terms, uplift, and structure in partnership with Legal and Finance, protecting value, margin, and long-term relationships
- Forecast your book with accuracy and discipline; maintain clean CRM hygiene and a defensible weekly commit
- Identify churn and downgrade risk early, drive the internal save plan, and elevate with a recommendation rather than a problem
- Use AI tools, including Claude Enterprise, to work smarter: admin, account research, renewal analysis, proposal drafting, and business case development
- Share field intelligence on pricing, competitive pressure, and packaging that shapes how we go to market
- Be measured on gross retention, net revenue retention, expansion attainment, and forecast accuracy.
Travel expectations:
Minimal travel; occasional visits to customer offices for annual business reviews and renewal negotiations, depending on the customer.
Why Monetate

What We Are Looking For
We hire for who you are. Skills can be taught. These cannot:
- Extreme ownership: you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks, and hold yourself accountable even when no one is watching
- Commercial courage: you can ask for the increase, hold the line on price, and walk a customer through a hard conversation without flinching or apologizing
- Intrinsic motivation: you work hard because you want to be excellent, not because someone is standing over you
- Curiosity: you are genuinely interested in how your customers' businesses work and relentless about finding answers
- Growth mindset: you seek feedback, act on it, and see every interaction as a chance to get better
- Team-first values: you make the TCSM you partner with better, and they would ask to work with you again
