Job summary

Hummel Group in Orrville, OH is seeking an Account Manager in Personal Lines who will retain client accounts by partnering with the Account Executive and Risk Advisor.

You will analyze client needs, prepare renewal quotes and proposals, and coordinate renewal activities with underwriters.

This role requires occasional offsite client visits and a commitment to high-quality service and accurate policy administration. Strong attention to detail and license requirements are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Property and Casualty license is required.
• Must have a valid driver license and insurable driving record.
• CISR or CISR Elite designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Risk Advisors and Account Executives, analyzing client needs, coverage forms, and quotes.
• Maintain a 95% policy and premium retention on the Personal Lines client book.
• Research accounts and respond to service questions for Risk Advisors and Account Executives.
• Identify opportunities to develop new accounts and lines of coverage for existing clients.
• Refer clients to other Hummel Group services when appropriate.
• Assist clients with policy changes and ensure accounts are up-to-date.
• Review client accounts to ensure coverage is current and optimal.
• Coordinate renewal quotes with underwriters and prepare renewal proposals.
• Ensure client premiums are accurate and rebalance as needed.
• Provide backup support to sales and claims staff as needed.
• Support agency goals and minimize error and omission exposure.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and teamwork; travel to meet clients and underwriters.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Account Manager in Personal Lines is responsible for retaining client accounts by working directly with the Account Executive and Risk Advisor to provide the best service to clients.

• Provides technical support to Risk Advisors and Account Executives; specifically, in analyzing client needs, coverage forms and quotes.
• Maintains a 95% policy and premium retention on an annual basis of the entire Personal Lines client book.
• Research accounts and service questions to support Risk Advisors and Account Executives.
• Alerts the Risk Advisors and Account Executives of every available opportunity to develop new accounts and new lines of coverage for existing accounts.
• Refers current and prospective clients to other services within to Hummel Group.
• Assists clients with making changes to their policy.
• Reviews clients entire account with them upon each contact to ensure account is up-to-date and no other services are needed.
• Identifies exposure to loss and recommends appropriate coverages.
• Request renewal quotes from insurance carries, creates renewal proposals and handles other renewal activities in coordination with the Risk Advisor.
• Responsible for ensuring the client’s premiums are accurate and requoting/rewriting if necessary.
• Serves as a backup to sales and claims staff, as needed.
• Supports and adheres to agency goals and objectives to place and retain business with our clients.
• Supports and adheres to procedures to minimize the agency’s error and omission exposure.
• Provides outstanding customer service, teamwork and assist others in acquiring and perfecting these skills.
• Travels offsite to meet with clients and insurance company underwriters.
• Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:

Education or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires possession and maintenance of a Property and Casualty license.
• Must have a current driver license and an insurable driving record.
• Recommended possession of CISR or CISR Elite designation.

Working Environment/ Physical Activities

• General Office work environment.
• Requires regular use of arms, hands, and fingers.
• Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, reach with arm and hands, stand, walk stoop, talk and hear.
• Required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
