Job summary

Chesterman Co. Coca Cola is seeking a dedicated sales associate to drive objectives through proactive store calls, product resets, and promotion execution. You will manage displays, stock POS materials, and ensure merchandising standards across accounts.

A valid driver’s license and customer-service mindset are essential for success on this fast-paced team. Candidates with 1+ year of grocery or consumer products experience will be preferred, as will strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

  • High-School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of sales experience.
  • Customer service experience a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Executes and closes all sales calls for assigned routes.
  • Maintains and sells incremental displays and equipment placements.
  • Executes promotions according to guidelines.
  • Manages point of sale inventory for promotions.
  • Coordinates area-wide rack orders to minimize freight costs.
  • Leads reset activities with store teams and communicates changes.

We have been making quality beverages for the Midwest since 1872 and supplying them from 14 distribution centers across Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.Position Summary: Responsible for achieving sales objectives through the advance sale of products/brands and packages to large and small store customers. Responsible for performing product resets, rack/display placements. Management of all point-of-sale inventory for promotional activity.Duties/Responsibilities:Executes and closes all sales calls for assigned (relief) sales routesMaintains and sells incremental displays and secures incremental equipment placementsExecute all sales promotions according to promotion guidelinesIn connection with a sales call, maintains appropriate inventory levels, company assets and point of saleEnsures account meets Company merchandising standardsTransports, replaces and maintains Point of Sale advertising as appropriate for account.Receive requests for generic and local Point of Sales (POS) and rack ordersCoordinate area-wide rack orders to minimize freight costsWork in teams to perform resets of assigned stores and ensure that package, brand, and promotional goals are reflected in store setsAbility to direct the work activities of other team members in the implementation of the reset activityProvide adequate communication to the customer on the changes to the store as a result of the reset activityAble to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assignedEducation/Experience:High-School Diploma/GEDBachelor’s degree Preferred1+ years of previous sales experience1+ Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience a plus1+ Customer service experienceValid driver’s license and driving record within MVR policy guidelinesRequired Skills/Abilities:Communication SkillsDexterity SkillsProblem SolvingInterpersonal SkillsMust be able to read, speak, and write in English to be able to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisorWork Environment: Depends upon the customer the employee is serving.
