Job Summary

An Account Manager manages relationships with key clients, which often include automotive manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors. An Account Manager plays a vital role in driving sales growth & profitability, maintaining client satisfaction, and ensuring the company\'s competitiveness in the market. They combine strong interpersonal skills with strategic thinking and industry knowledge to achieve these objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, including regular communication, understanding client needs, and ensuring client satisfaction with the company\'s products and services.
  • Account Management: oversee all aspects of client accounts, including commercial management, contract negotiation, pricing, and order management; ensure contracts are fulfilled and issues are addressed promptly.
  • Business Development: identify opportunities for growth within existing client accounts and actively seek new business opportunities in the automotive industry.
  • Product Knowledge: leverage in-depth understanding of the company\'s automotive parts to communicate features and benefits and provide technical support as needed.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: work with sales, marketing, engineering, and production to align client needs with company capabilities; coordinate product development, address quality concerns, or resolve logistics issues.
  • Customer Service and Support: serve as the primary point of contact for clients and address inquiries or issues to maintain long-term relationships and customer loyalty.
  • Market Analysis and Forecasting: monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and demand; provide insights and recommendations to senior management on sales strategies and market opportunities.
  • Sales Reporting and Analysis: track sales performance, prepare reports, analyze data, and forecast sales projections and targets for accounts.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, marketing, sales, engineering, or related field; specialized courses or certifications in sales, account management, negotiation, and automotive technology are beneficial.
  • Sales Experience: minimum 4+ years in sales, particularly in the automotive industry or manufacturing sector.
  • Account Management Experience: experience managing client accounts, negotiations, and ensuring customer satisfaction with a track record of building relationships.
  • Industry Knowledge: familiarity with automotive parts manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and trends; experience with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers is desirable.
  • Communication Skills: excellent verbal and written communication for client interaction, proposals, and contracts.
  • Negotiation Skills: ability to negotiate favorable terms while maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Relationship Building: proven ability to build and nurture long-term client relationships and provide solutions.
  • Analytical Skills: strong ability to evaluate market trends and sales performance to identify opportunities.
  • Problem-Solving: capable of addressing client concerns and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Technical Knowledge: basic understanding of automotive engineering and manufacturing processes to discuss specifications.
  • Project Management: ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: adaptability to work with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
