Job summary

VJ X-Ray LLC is seeking an Account Manager to manage OEM customer relationships from Bohemia, NY. The role focuses on inside sales, technical product knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration.

The successful candidate will have a technical background, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally. This full-time position requires a Bachelor’s degree and prior experience in a similar OEM environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical/engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum 2 years of technical sales or sales administration experience in an OEM environment.
• Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM.
• Experience using an ERP system (Global Shop Solutions).
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and deepen relationships with OEM customers via calls, virtual meetings, and in-person visits.
• Serve as primary contact for customers and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Identify new business opportunities through inside sales activities, upselling and presenting new products to existing customers.
• Attend related industrial trade shows, conferences and exhibitions, as needed.
• Participate in creating and conducting technical presentations for customers.
• Assist sales management to develop and execute sales plans to achieve objectives.
• Maintain data and reporting analytics per company requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering and operations teams to align market needs.

A results-driven VJX Account Manager will have a thorough understanding of VJX products and the ability to manage customer relationships. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are critical in achieving and/or exceeding customer and company expectations.

Job Description

• Maintain and continue to build existing relationships with OEM customers by making regular contact by telephone, virtual meetings and in-person visits
• Act as primary point of contact for customers and resolve customer issues quickly and effectively
• Identify potential new business opportunities through inside sales activities, upselling and presenting new products to existing customers
• Attending related industrial trade shows, conferences and exhibitions, as needed
• Participate in creating and conducting technical presentations for current and/or potential customers
• Assist sales management to develop and execute sales plans to achieve objectives regarding revenue, profitability and market share
• Maintain data and reporting analytics per company requirements
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering team and operations team to ensure current and future market requirements are thoroughly understood
• Follow all VJX and OSHA workplace safety requirements and policies

• Minimum of two (2) years of technical sales or sales administration experience in an OEM environment
• Ability to conduct business in-office from Bohemia, NY location
• Ability to potentially travel domestically and internationally - up to 20% of the time

• Three to five (3 to 5) years of directly related experience
• Experience and/or knowledge of Sales, Marketing or Applications Engineering within technology industries, preferably in instruments, electronics or capital equipment
• Experience using Salesforce Software or another CRM platform
• Ability to read schematics
• Experience using an ERP system (Global Shop Solutions)

Physical & Mental Demands

• Regularly required to sit, walk, bend, stoop and stand within an industrial environment
• Will need to repeatedly use hands and fingers to operate basic office equipment and possibly operate hand and power tools standard to a production environment
• Expected to effectively communicate in person, on the phone, via email and on other electronic devices on a continual and repetitive basis
• Responsibilities will require lifting, moving, staging and placing of materials up to 50 pounds alone and heavier with assistance
• Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
• Required to travel domestically and internationally, by car and by air. Overnight stays may also be required.
