Patriot Growth Insurance Services in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Benefits Account Manager to serve as a trusted partner to clients, managing renewals, open enrollment activities, and day-to-day benefit needs.

You will coordinate with Producers, carriers, and internal teams to support benefit plan administration and provide proactive service that drives client satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, or a related account management role.
• Active Michigan Life & Health insurance license.
• Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and agency management or CRM systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively support client relationships.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned employee benefits clients, providing proactive and responsive service throughout the year.
• Manage the full lifecycle of benefit plans, including requests for proposals, renewals, onboarding, implementation, and open enrollment activities.
• Coordinate renewal processes by gathering carrier quotes, evaluating plan options, and supporting recommendations alongside Producers.
• Partner with carriers to resolve claims, eligibility, enrollment, and coverage-related questions efficiently.
• Oversee new client implementations to ensure a smooth transition, accurate plan setup, and successful employee enrollment.
• Prepare and distribute client-facing and employee-facing materials, including benefit guides, enrollment resources, and compliance documentation.
• Maintain accurate account records, plan information, and premium data within agency management and CRM systems.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience and timely issue resolution.

Day One:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, or a related account management role.
