5WPR is seeking an Account Executive to join its Tech PR practice. The role focuses on pitching, media relations, and strategic communication for tech clients within a collaborative agency environment.

You will lead on account work, develop media materials, and cultivate relationships with prominent media figures. The position emphasizes independent work, leadership, and a drive to exceed client expectations.

Qualifications

• B.A in Public Relations or related field.
• 2-3 years of PR agency experience, specifically with Techbased clients.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong leadership and motivation skills.
• Proven client relations and supervisory skills.
• Creative and energetic personality.

Responsibilities

• Manage team workflow and take ownership of account work while driving consistent media results.
• Create and develop media materials - press kits, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, case studies, etc.
• Develop and maintain relationships with prominent members of the media to ensure placements.
• Develop strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines consistent with the overall PR strategy.
• Execute and advise on PR strategies and collaboratively develop strategic media plans.
• Create and develop pro-active pitch ideas for clients based on industry, current trends and announcements.
• Monitor media and seek out speaking opportunities for clients as experts in their field.
• Daily client interaction to update, report on and discuss strategy and results.
• Assist in the research, writing and development of new business proposals and presentations.
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior-level staff.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients.
