Job summary

Thomson Reuters seeks an Account Executive to develop account plans and close full-solution sales with corporate customers in the Seattle territory. This remote-based role focuses on prospecting, pipeline management, and managing the entire sales cycle from initiation to renewal, while using a consultative approach with C-level stakeholders.

You will collaborate cross-functionally, maintain Salesforce, and travel to customer locations as needed, aiming to exceed revenue targets in a FinTech/data

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred with minimum 4 years direct field sales experience, quota over achievement.
  • Experience in FinTech space and/or selling data solutions is a plus.
  • Proven ability to sell complex technology solutions to small/medium companies using a consultative approach.
  • Experience with high velocity sales, land-and-expand, and selling to C-level executives.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new business and maintain a healthy sales pipeline with 3x coverage.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to deal closing to renewal.
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets and manage relationships with decision-makers.
  • Collaborate across teams to tailor solutions and ensure customer success.
  • Maintain Salesforce records to enable reliable forecasts and insights.
  • Engage in direct client meetings in person or via MS Teams.

Job description

This position is responsible for developing and executing account plans for new and/or existing small to mid-sized corporate accounts in an assigned territory. Expands revenue footprint with existing customers and prospects new business in order to close full solution sale to corporate customers.

Location: remote based role.

Territory: Territory is Seattle. Must reside in or near territory.

About the Role:
In this opportunity as Account Executive you will

Prospecting: Prospecting is a must. Actively seek out new business opportunities with both new and existing customers to build a strong sales pipeline. Keep your sales pipeline clean and up to date, aiming for 3 times coverage of your sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Account Management: Focused on companies with revenues of less than $500M, leading the entire sales process from prospecting to deal closing to renewal.

Sales Goals: Meet or exceed your revenue targets.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams within the organization to tailor our solutions to address the customer needs.

Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, understanding their challenges and demonstrating how our solutions can address them.

Salesforce Maintenance: Regularly update our CRM system (salesforce.com) to maintain accurate records of your sales activities and to provide reliable sales forecasts.

Engage in direct client meetings either in person or via platforms like MS Teams.

About You:
You're a fit for the role of Account Executive, if you have:

College degree preferred with a minimum of 4 years direct field sales experience (sales experience in the corporate sector preferred) with proven, exemplary track record of sales quota over achievement.

Experience in the FinTech space and/or selling data solutions is a plus.

Proven ability to sell complex technology solutions to small and medium companies (Less than $500M in revenue), using a consultative and value-based approach.

Experience with high velocity sales, as well as land and expand approach; Experience selling to C-level executives applying a solution selling approach and the ability to identify business challenges and impact to their business if they don’t solve their challenges.

Skilled in leading detailed sales processes involving various stakeholders.

Enthusiastic about prospecting and able to manage the entire sales cycle independently from initiation to closure.

Ability to develop and execute an account plan.

Able to work from home office and travel to customer locations.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations.

For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $136,500 USD - $253,500 USD.

Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.

Target total cash compensation ranges are inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
