Job summary

Precision Medicine Group is seeking an Account Executive to support client services for pharmaceutical advertising campaigns. This role emphasizes coordinating internal teams, managing project timelines, and communicating with clients to drive successful, profitable outputs.

The position is remote within the United States with opportunities for growth, collaboration with senior leadership, and involvement in budgeting and proposal preparation.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience as an Assistant Account Executive or Account Executive in advertising or related industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the workflow of all assigned accounts to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Develops and maintains account status reports and project timelines.
  • Owns deck preparation for meetings and communicates next steps to clients and internal teams.
  • Reviews materials for accuracy prior to client delivery or production.
  • Assists in estimating agency fees and preparing job budgets.

Who you are:

The Account Executive supports client services efforts in a critical way, connecting the activities of the agency to clients. The Account Executiveis responsible forimplementing projects to promote and support the success and profitability of client deliverables. In implementing projects, the Account Executive drives the daily tasksof bycommunicating with key internal service delivery personnel and leading client communications.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

Tactical Management

  • Demonstrates sound judgement andoperateswithan appropriate senseof urgency
  • Manages the workflow of all assigned accounts to ensure jobs are on track and completed accurately
  • Develops andmaintainsaccount status reports and collaborates with project managers on creation and maintenance of project timelines
  • Contributes to project briefs (background, job specs, dates)
  • Updates client and team on activity schedules and next steps
  • Owns deck for meetings (and associated technology)
  • Reviews all materials for accuracy and completion prior to client delivery, presentation, or final production
  • Submits requests for direct cost estimates; obtains client approval of all cost estimates
  • Maintains organized job files of project materials
Client Management
  • Applies understanding about client’s line of business (e.g., target customers, products) in discussions with client and internal team
  • May serve as client’s day-to-day liaison, providingtimelystatus and information on client’s projects
  • Establishes and fosters relationships day-to-day with clients
  • Works consultatively with team lead to balance agency and client needs and push back when/where appropriate
  • Runs status calls and other select calls/meetings
  • Keeps supervisor apprised of client activities and problems
  • Assistsin estimating agency fees for client proposals
  • Assistsin preparation of job budgets, obtaining internal budget approvals, andallocatinghours to team members
  • Maintainsaccuraterecords of client expenditures, timeutilization, and billing information
  • Assistswith managing client’s budget tracker(s) and with preparation of realistic billing forecasts
  • Helps move work effectively through the shopin order tomeet agency profitability goals
  • Identifiesand brings management’s attention to bottlenecks or other issues that may jeopardize profitability by project
Product Knowledge
  • Develops understanding of product category and competitors, as well as key data sets
  • Remains focused on details, but takes initiative in building understanding of bigger picture of clients’ objectives and initiatives including target patient/professional audiences; key milestones (clinical trial initiation, completion of FDA panel review, NDA submission, launch, etc.); competitive landscape, clinical background, key client performance metrics (sales goals, scripts, etc.)
  • Business Development
  • Identifiesopportunities to grow in-line client business and billings and enlists support of senior team/ management to follow up on these opportunities appropriately
  • Leadership & Agency Advocacy
  • Communicates agency’s point of view to clients with clarityregardingthe value of process strategically (why thewhole processis necessary) and tactically (why the agency needs/recommendsparticular activitiesor timing)
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in marketing, communications, or advertising
  • At least one year of experience as an Assistant Account Executive or Account Executive within an advertising, marketing,communicationor related industry
  • Experience with direct client contact
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
  • Hands-on experience with clients’ online submission systems for medical/regulatory and legal reviews (e.g., Zinc or Veeva)
  • Medical communications or healthcare industry experience
  • Experience in writing SOWs and project briefs

Precision is required by law in some states or cities to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.

Reasonable estimate of the current range

$60,000 - $75,000 USD
