Job summary

Aon is seeking an Account Executive III in New York City or Boston to advance a Construction & Infrastructure Risk portfolio. You will collaborate with senior members to shape coverage strategies, respond to client inquiries, and prepare proposals for renewals and new business.

Expect to analyze client risk, maintain relationships with underwriters, and manage policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals. A Property and Casualty license is required or obtained within 120 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • Property and Casualty Brokers License is required or must be obtained within 120 days of hire.
  • 10+ years of commercial insurance experience, preference for Construction.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses/certifications/designations.
  • Ability to analyze risk transfer programs and prepare market submissions and proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares new business and renewal materials and keeps them up to date.

  • Reviews assignments, collects signatures, and handles related documentation.
  • Calculates adjustments and premiums; leads ongoing insurance or risk retention programs.
  • Handles daily tasks with appropriate technology tools.

Our Construction Services Group is seeking an Account Executive III to join their team in the Northeast!

What the day will look like:
  • Collaborates with senior unit members to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business
  • Accurately and timely responding to client requests and inquiries
  • Preparing new business and renewal and keeping them up to date
  • Analyzes client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements; prepares and presents marketing proposals for renewals and new business
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with the underwriting community, especially key partner markets
  • Processing, and/or issuing where applicable, new policies and policy renewals, changes, additions, deletions and cancellations
  • Reviewing and proofreading all assignments, acquiring accurate signatures and dispensing as appropriate
  • Calculating adjustments and premiums on polices and other insurance and provider documents
  • Lead, measure and report on ongoing insurance or risk retention programs
  • Handle daily tasks and key assignments with appropriate technology tools
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 10+ years experience of commercial insurance experience, preference for those experienced in Construction
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses/certifications/designations
  • Thorough analysis of current risk transfer programs, such as coverage and cost analysis and graphical representations of the program
  • Insurance program structure planning and design of alternatives based on client objectives
  • Prepare marketplace insurance submissions, coordinate, and assist in market meetings and negotiations, as appropriate
  • Finalize all risk transfer quotes and complete a thorough comparison of program options as part of the client proposal presentation. Comparison to include changes in exposure, losses, coverage terms and conditions and cost of risk
  • Contract Review
  • Responsible for ensuring proper client service
  • Policy and other related document checking
  • Invoicing and other transactional duties
  • Review and clearing audits and adjustments
  • Claims review and analysis
  • Assist team as needed, ie: special projects, daily backup
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • A Property and Casualty Brokers License is required, or must be obtained within 120 days of hire if not already active

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $170,000 to $250,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
