Job description

Description

Application deadline: Sep 6, 2026

Are you passionate about supporting the warfighter and enabling the U.S. Army to operate with greater speed, safety, and decisive advantage? As an Account Executive on our team, you will partner directly with Army leaders to demonstrate how AWS cloud capabilities can accelerate mission outcomes across tactical and strategic operations. You will own the full sales cycle — from identifying opportunities to closing deals — while building trusted relationships with senior military and civilian decision-makers focused on modernizing how the Army fights and wins.

This role requires a deep understanding of the defense mission space and the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into language that resonates with warfighters and acquisition professionals. You will work alongside solutions architects, partner teams, and technical specialists to deliver outcomes that make soldiers safer and more effective on the battlefield.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop and grow a book of business within the U.S. Army by identifying, pursuing, and closing key opportunities as part of a dedicated Army sales team.
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with senior military officers, civilian leaders, and acquisition professionals across the tactical and strategic Army enterprise.
  • Translate AWS cloud capabilities into mission-relevant value propositions that help the Army operate with greater speed, safety, and decisive advantage.
  • Drive both business and technical engagements by partnering with solutions architects, partner teams, and technical specialists to deliver outcomes aligned to warfighter needs.
  • Engage daily with customers across staff offices, program offices, and operational units to identify modernization opportunities and accelerate adoption.
  • Think strategically about the Army's mission challenges and develop compelling approaches that connect AWS services to operational outcomes.
  • Travel to customer sites, military installations, and industry events as required.
