Job summary

Snowflake is seeking an Account Engineer to deliver technical expertise and build relationships with prospects and customers exploring the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. This role blends problem-solving with customer focus in a fast-moving environment.

You will collaborate with Account Executives, Marketing, and partners, grow your technical skills through demos and labs, and contribute to customer success while advancing your career in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Foundational experience in a technical role (Solution engineering, solutions architecture, or software development) in SaaS, data analytics, or cloud tech.
• Basic familiarity with SQL and/or Python, or strong willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences, written and verbal.
• Customer-focused with collaborative mindset and West Coast location.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Support Customer Engagements: Assist in presenting Snowflake's technology and vision to diverse audiences, from technical contributors to business leaders. Develop your skills in aligning technical solutions with business outcomes.
• Contribute to Technical Wins: Collaborate with customers to plan and execute technical evaluations and proof-of-concept demonstrations, supported by senior team members. Help tailor solutions to customer needs while learning how to communicate business value effectively.
• Learn & Build Relationships: Partner with customers and technical champions to foster trust and collaboration. Build your expertise in championing Snowflake's capabilities and contributing to long-term customer success.

What You Bring (Minimum Qualifications)

What Sets You Apart (Preferred Qualifications)

• Working with modern data technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric, BigQuery etc (including CI/CD tooling, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration tools, Git).
• Understanding public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
• Familiarity with data science, machine learning workflows, or governance tools.

Compensation & Benefits

• On Target Earnings (OTE) Range including base + commission bonus: $140,000 - $183,750
• Snowflake offers competitive base salary, variable compensation, equity, and comprehensive benefits including 401(k), health/dental/vision, flexible PTO, and professional development budget.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

• This role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's commission plan and it is common for employees in this role to receive total on-target earnings of $140,000 - $183,750. The estimated base salary for this role is $105,000 - $137,812.
• Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
