As an Account Director, you will serve as a senior media relations lead and trusted advisor across integrated client teams. You will shape communications strategies, develop earned-first approaches and lead media programs that drive results for consumer brands. You’ll bring a strong understanding of the consumer media landscape and the ability to identify news cycles, cultural moments and emerging trends that create opportunities for clients. You’ll also play an important role in developing and mentoring team members, managing significant workstreams, connecting teams across disciplines and contributing to the growth of Current Global’s consumer media relations business. You’ll be joining a collaborative, energetic team that works hard, brings big ideas to the table and genuinely has fun doing it.
You are a culture vulture with a strong grasp of modern, earned-first media campaigns. You understand what makes a story compelling to consumers and know how to turn cultural trends, news cycles and consumer insights into relevant opportunities for brands. You don’t shy away from implementing media strategies from concept through execution, finding new ways to meet client objectives and achieving top-notch results. You are equally comfortable providing senior-level counsel to clients, leading teams and getting into the details of the work when needed. You are a natural collaborator who enjoys working across creative, social, influencer, digital, media and other agency disciplines to develop integrated campaigns and ideas that break through.

NYC Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications. $100,000-$130,000
