We. Communications is seeking an Account Director to lead corporate communications for technology storytelling. You will drive client strategy, build strong media relationships, and oversee day-to-day engagement to deliver measurable impact.
The role requires senior writing and strategic thinking, the ability to manage a team, and partnership with top-tier media. A hybrid, US-wide work arrangement is supported, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and client success.
At We., we've spent decades at the intersection of technology and humanity, bridging the gap between what businesses create and how people experience those creations. We've learned that beneath even the most unruly situations — whether it's a global crisis, an emerging technology, or a sweeping organizational change— lies a simple human need. That need could be for trust, connection, safety, or a sense of purpose. But it’s always there. And it is only by uncovering these truths that we can make real, meaningful progress.
About The Role:
The Account Director will create, manage, and execute communications strategy and media engagement for Microsoft's business, helping translate complex technical issues into clear, impactful stories. This includes partnering with clients to define and evolve the future of our ongoing innovation, research, and scientific discovery storytelling program – including alignment to broader business needs and cross-company communications and marketing efforts.
The Account Director is responsible for day-to-day client management and satisfaction, serving as the point of strategic integration and counsel for the team. This position will manage, plan, and execute on earned and owned media programs. Ideal candidates are proactive communicators with strong writing and relationship-management skills, proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and a passion for making emerging technology accessible to broad audiences. This role may manage direct reports.
Responsibilities:
