Job summary

BerlinRosen is seeking an Account Coordinator for its Arts & Culture team in New York. The role involves media monitoring, landscape analysis, media relations, account coordination, project management and writing.

Qualifications

  • Internship or other relevant experience in strategic communications, public relations, journalism, the arts or a related field.
  • Strong writing skills and an interest in media relations and the news landscape.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in the arts and culture sector, with an understanding of the art world in North America and internationally.
  • A strong interest in building a career in public relations and strategic communications within the arts and culture space.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team to meet shared objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of communications strategies, creative brainstorming and campaign planning for multiple high-profile client accounts
  • Monitor the media landscape and relevant news, trends and conversations across the arts and culture sector, flagging timely opportunities and developments for account teams and clients
  • Pitch and place stories across local, regional, national and relevant arts and culture media outlets; build and maintain targeted press lists and develop relationships with relevant reporters and editors
  • Write and edit external and internal messaging and media materials, including client emails, press releases, fact sheets, talking points, media pitches and communications plans
  • Support day-to-day client communications, including staffing weekly calls, developing meeting agendas and preparing press coverage and event recaps
  • Support teams at press events, openings and other client events
  • Manage work streams and project tasks across multiple arts and culture accounts, helping teams stay organized and meet deadlines

ABOUT THIS ROLE

BerlinRosen is seeking an Account Coordinator to join the Arts & Culture team. This role provides a unique opportunity to begin building a career with a talented and motivated team working with clients that are shaping the future of arts and culture in New York and beyond.

You’ll play an active role across media monitoring and landscape analysis, media relations, account coordination, project management and writing. The person best suited for this role will have excellent writing and organizational skills, a natural curiosity and eagerness to learn about the news, issues and trends shaping the arts and culture landscape, and internship or other relevant experience in strategic communications, journalism, the arts or a related field.

Note: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a 3 day per week hybrid basis.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As an Account Coordinator on the Arts & Culture team, you will…

WORKING AT BERLINROSEN

Compensation philosophy: BerlinRosen offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $60,000 - 65,000

Note: Orchestra offers temporary (non-immigrant) work visas for new and existing employees and green card sponsorship for existing staff.
