Job summary

Royston First UMC in Royston, GA seeks a talented pianist/organist accompanist to support our worship services and music ministry.

Responsibilities include participating in weekly worship services and occasional special services, collaborating with the Pastor, choir director and music ministry, and attending rehearsals as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong piano and/or organ skills.
• Experience accompanying congregational and choral music preferred.
• Familiarity with Christian worship music and the UMC tradition is a plus.

Job description

Royston First UMC is seeking a talented and dependable pianist/organist accompanist to support our worship services & music ministry. Responsibilities include participating in weekly worship services & occasional special services; collaborating with the Pastor, choir director and music ministry and attending rehearsals as needed. Strong piano and/or organist skills., experience accompanying congregational and choral music preferred. An ability to work collaboratively and sensitivity with singers & worship leaders and familiarity with Christian worship music and the UMC tradition is a plus. Approximately 5 hours per week and compensation is based on experience. We welcome applicants who are enthusiastic about using their musical gifts to support worship and our church community.
