Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience accompanying choral groups and soloists.
• Knowledge of harmony fundamentals.
• Skill in playing one or more musical instruments as an accompanist.
• Ability to select appropriate dance music.
• Ability to compose or improvise music and transcribe from recordings.
• Background check required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of music theory and harmonic structure.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Provide musical accompaniment for instructional courses, rehearsals, auditions, juries and performances.
• Perform primarily from written scores and support faculty and students in academic and performance settings.
• Other duties as assigned.
