Job summary

Advantage Investigations in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced Accident Reconstructionist / Collision Investigator to join our team immediately. This field-based role requires independence to investigate and reconstruct motor vehicle collisions through scene analysis, vehicle inspections, EDR data interpretation, photography review, and application of engineering principles and physics.

Qualifications

• Experience in collision scene investigation and accident reconstruction.
• Formal accident reconstruction training from recognized institutions.
• Membership in professional reconstruction associations.
• EDR data collection and interpretation training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct collision scene investigations and vehicle examinations.
• Analyze physical evidence, vehicle damage, roadway conditions, photographs, and electronic data.
• Download, collect, and interpret Event Data Recorder (EDR) data.
• Utilize reconstruction methodologies to determine: vehicle speeds, changes in velocity, sequence of events.
• Prepare detailed written reports outlining findings and conclusions.
• Provide litigation support and courtroom testimony when required.
• Operate specialized investigative and reconstruction equipment including drones/UAS, photogrammetry and mapping tools, and collision reconstruction software platforms.
• Work independently and manage assignments from intake through final reporting.
• Maintain professional documentation and chain of custody standards.
