Job summary

SkyWest Airlines is seeking an Accessory Shop Technician assigned to the 206 Crew to inspect and maintain aircraft cabin interiors and perform component replacements in line with the GMM and manufacturer manuals, emphasizing flight safety and high-quality workmanship.

You will work night shifts on the 206 Crew with a starting wage of $18.31 per hour, and must lift up to 50 pounds, read and understand English, and be willing to work weekend shifts and four 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid, state-issued unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English is required.
• Mechanical experience and/or aptitude are required.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment is required.
• Willingness to work four 10-hour shifts; weekend shifts may be required.
• Availability to work weekend shifts, as needed is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain appearance of aircraft cabin interiors.
• Perform component replacement and maintenance per manuals and GMM.
• Maintain the shop area in a clean and hazard-free condition.
• Ensure tools and equipment are clean, safe, and operational.
• Wear eye and hearing protection as necessary; work night shifts.

Primary Job Duties

As an Accessory Shop Technician assigned to the 206 Crew, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the appearance of aircraft cabin interiors. This role includes performing component replacement and maintenance on appearance-related items in accordance with manufacturer maintenance manuals, the SkyWest General Maintenance Manual (GMM), and the direction and supervision of the Maintenance Department, with a continued emphasis on flight safety.

• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the SkyWest General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
• Maintain the assigned shop work area in a clean, orderly, and hazard-free condition
• Ensure tools and support equipment are kept clean, safe, and operational at all times
• Wear required eye and hearing protection as necessary when using tools or operating machinery to ensure personal safety
• Be available to work any assigned shift and overtime as needed

Minimum Requirements

Physical And Other Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor level to chest height, with or without reasonable accommodation, is required
• Reliable and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position
• This is a full-time position
• This position is assigned to the night shift on the 206 Crew, with a starting wage of $18.31
• This is a Department of Transportation (DOT) safety-sensitive position
