Job summary

Bausch Lomb is seeking a Package Assembler to set up, troubleshoot, and operate packaging lines ensuring products meet SOPs and GMP requirements. You will load components, inspect batches, and support line changes on a 2nd shift in Greenville, SC.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in manufacturing, preferably packaging, with basic computer skills and the ability to work well in a team with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year manufacturing experience, preferably in packaging.
  • There is an option for a 2- or 4-year degree, or manufacturing certification.
  • Strong reading and math comprehension required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills expected.
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel).
  • PLC machine/equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to SOPs and GMPs.
  • Manually load components into cartons, pouches, shippers on an assembly line.
  • Perform and document Quality Inspections, In Process Cosmetic Inspections, and Batch Records.
  • Conduct line clearances and manage lot changes.
  • Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas.

Objectives/Purpose of Job:

Effectively and efficiently set-up, troubleshoot and operate packaging lines and equipment in order to manufacture quality products per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Key Activities/Responsibilities:

Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and GMPs. Manually load components into unit cartons, pouches, shippers, etc. on an assembly line. Staging components and loading hoppers on assembly line. Accurately perform and document Quality Inspections, In Process Cosmetic Inspections, and Batch Record related information (verification of components and critical copy). Perform line clearances and lot changes. Housekeeping.

Scope of Position:

Observe, operate & troubleshoot Accessories equipment to ensure the manufacture of quality products to meet standard production quantities or better. Accessory manufacturing is primarily a manual operation. Accessory Assemblers cross-train in other departments to increase workforce flexibility to address operational and business demands.

Note: Must be able to successfully cross-train as a Package Assembler.

Qualifications | Training:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education preferred.

Experience: Minimum one (1) year manufacturing experience, preferably in a packaging operation, two (2) or four (4) year degree, or manufacturing certification.

Preferred Skills:
  • Strong reading and math comprehension
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability to be an effective member of a team
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize work and make informed decisions
  • Basic computer skills (i.e. MS Outlook, Excel, web-based applications)
  • PLC machine/equipment experience preferred
Shift 2nd :

Monday Friday 3:30pm 12:00midnight

Pay starts at $20.25 per hour.
