What you can expect as an Accessories Technician at West Star:
This position includes varying amounts of inspection, troubleshooting, adjustments, repairing and performing overhauls and testing accessory components. This will also include general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of landing gear, systems and components on a variety of engines, using personal protection equipment according to manufacturer's specifications, in a safe and clean work environment. Duties also include preparing and signing off on various documents for "Return to Service" and recordkeeping purposes. Will be required to work with products and materials associated with component maintenance.

What you'll need to bring with you:
A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
An Airframe and Powerplant license or associate's degree in aviation is ideal.
Previous Experience As a Mechanic Is Required
A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance.
May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations from very cold to very hot.
Work outside during aircraft runs can occur.
Varied positions in and around the aircraft.
Equipment Used
Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic.
Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment.
Jacks, stands, lifts and other support devices.
Tugs, power carts and other engine powered equipment.

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $20 - $27. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) company match and employer contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA).
