Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Training Coordinator to manage day-to-day and annual training initiatives for Patient Access and related departments.

You will develop modules, coordinate schedules for new hires, update existing programs, and partner with leadership to drive training effectiveness and compliance across shifts.

Qualifications

  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes, develops, and updates training materials.
  • Gathers training content from clinical and operational staff for current practices.
  • Implements training programs and measures their effectiveness.
  • Tracks departmental training using internal reporting tools.
  • Trains staff on equipment usage and computer programs.
  • Collaborates with the training team and leadership to ensure success.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

This job implements system and departmental day-to-day, monthly, and annual training competencies. Conducts training for all shifts; develops and administers training for departmental meetings; evaluates the effectiveness of the respective training programs by obtaining feedback from the internal clients; develops training modules; creates training schedules for all new hires; maintains and updates existing training initiatives; and fills in as needed to cover areas as a Patient Access Rep. Provides feedback to departmental leaders regarding employee training performance; keeps current with scheduling practices through site observations and communication with scheduling leaders; and identifies future training opportunities through class performance, feedback, observations, and leadership response.

Education

Required -High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred - Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration or related field

  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval ofjob requiredinformation. Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and programs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals.
  • Ability to work Independently, multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties
  • Organizes, develops, and updates training materials
  • Obtains training from clinical and operational personnel to ensure that the department is educating staff with the most current access and scheduling practices
  • Implements and presents training programs and evaluates programs effectiveness
  • Tracks departmental training via internal reporting tools
  • Trains staff on proper usage of equipment and computer programs or applications
  • Collaborates with training team, other departments, and leadership to ensure success
  • Other related duties as required
