Job summary

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) in Southeast Ohio seeks an Access Supervisor to oversee referrals and ensure timely access to services across multiple regions. This role manages a team of intake specialists, maintains relationships with community partners, and helps drive program outcomes.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a BA and MA in social work or counseling, and active LISW/LPCC license in Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors timeliness, accuracy and follow‑up of referrals
  • Ensures quality and timeliness in written and verbal communication with clients and partners
  • Oversees recruitment, onboarding and team development, including progressive discipline
  • Provides routine support and coaching to staff
  • Leads collaboration to support outcomes across regions
  • Oversees policies, procedures and processes
  • Participates in outreach activities as needed
  • Maintains HIPAA compliance and mandated reporting
  • Uses EHR databases for client documentation
  • Travels within service areas as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Job description

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community‑minded, forward‑thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well‑being. We meet people in their homes and communities and help connect them to the resources they need. We serve southeastern and central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services, working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. Access Supervisor – Southeast, Ohio

The Access Supervisor is responsible for overseeing referrals for care and timely access to services within multiple program areas. This role oversees a team of intake specialists across multiple regions and will maintain working relationships with employees and community partners in those regions.

Salary: $61,174.73 to $79,175.95 annually, based on experience.

Essential Functions
  • Monitors timeliness, accuracy and follow‑up of referral specialist
  • Ensures quality and timeliness in written and verbal communication with clients and community partners
  • Responsible for performance management, recruitment, onboarding, and team development, including but not limited to implementing progressive discipline when necessary
  • Provides routine support and assistance to employees through individual and group conferences, assistance in analyzing problems, and in improving their support and helping skills
  • Leads agency‑wide collaboration and innovation to support desired outcomes
  • Responsible for implementation and oversight of organizational policies, procedures, and or processes
  • Participates in outreach activities such as follow‑up or reminder calls as necessary
  • Maintains compliance with HIPAA, mandated reporting requirements, and professional ethical guidelines
  • Utilizes databases and Electronic Health Record systems for accurate client documentation
  • Travels within designated service areas as needed
  • All other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Education / Licensure
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or clinical counseling required
  • Master’s degree in social work or clinical counseling required
  • Active licensed independent social worker (LISW) or licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) in the state of Ohio required
Experience
  • 3 years of experience working in healthcare, behavioral health or a related field required
  • 3 years of experience working in a medical referral position and/or nonprofit administrative management environment preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced communication skills, both oral and written required
  • Ability to use appropriate databases, spreadsheets, and other software required
  • Ability to operate in an Internet‑based, automated office environment required
  • Advanced organizational skills required
  • Ability to bill Medicaid without restrictions required
  • Access to reliable transportation required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle required
  • Appropriate level of auto insurance coverage required
  • Ability to manage deadlines within a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment required
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer required
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times required
