Access Control Personnel

Provide support with access control functions to ensure entry control points are monitored, personnel clearances are verified with appropriate badges exchanged, magnetometer searches are conducted, and only authorized personnel are granted access to MCIA facilities. Responsibilities include:

1. Verification of clearances via the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Scattered Castles, or other authorized means.
2. Issuance of visitor and temporary badges, proper documentation in the MCIA Visitor Log, and input of all foreign visitors using the Foreign Visits System – Confirmation Module (FVS-CM).
3. Submission and receipt of visit/perm certifications for visitors and employees.
4. Validation of Information System Authorization Access Requests, including background investigations and clearance verification.
5. Screening of incoming and outgoing documents or packages carried by visitors or employees, ensuring proper wrapping and carriage according to MCIA policy.
6. Conducting magnetometer and other security searches of personnel and visitors.
7. Utilization of MCIA’s Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and alarm station.
8. Coordination with MCIA Command Duty Officers (CDO), completing end-of-day checklists, and opening/closing MCIA facilities using CDX-09 and CDX-10 style locks.
9. Monitoring facility control points via line of sight and CCTV.

Personnel shall work in accordance with guidance established by the Government. Support services are provided Monday through Friday, between 0600 and 1800 hours. The standard shift is 8 hours, with potential for after-hours or weekend work during special projects. Locations include Hochmuth Hall (HH)/Swain Annex and MCIA West.

Required Qualifications

• Current TS/SCI clearance and willingness to undergo CI polygraph.
• Professional appearance, including being uniformly dressed in a blue blazer, gray dress slacks, and white dress shirt. Support personnel will provide daily access control support within the Command Security Office (CSO).
