Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Full Time in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain security for employees and visitors at a manufacturing and industrial site.

This role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and adherence to safety procedures, with a focus on promptly handling security events and maintaining logs and records.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted under applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain access-related logs and records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the property, direct authorized personnel and deliveries to designated areas, and report unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
