Solutions Through Innovative Technologies, Inc (STI-TEC) is seeking an Access Control Officer to support INSCOM and MSC facilities in the United States. The role includes processing authorized visitors, conducting ID checks, and ensuring badge and equipment compliance under SOPs.

Responsibilities include escorting un-cleared personnel, maintaining security logs, and coordinating immediate notifications for emergencies. Must have DoD TS/SCI clearance and 2+ years’ security systems experience.

• CPR and AED certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with security systems (DISS/Scattered Castles).

• Notify authorities of any life-threatening situations or security incidents.
• Utilize CMS systems (Lenel) for access verification and validation.

Position Overview

This role will assist in providing Access Control Officers and Escort support services that process authorized visitors for entry, provide a deterrent to the unauthorized removal of classified materials, prevent unauthorized entry into facilities by personnel not having a proper clearance or access, and provide a deterrent against the unauthorized entry of prohibited items in violation of local Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Army policy within the HQ INSCOM and Major Subordinate Commands (MSC) buildings in the United States.

Essential Job Function

• Access Control Officers are responsible for:
• Access of personnel and equipment into and out of the facility 9
• Use Government provided security equipment, systems, and databases
• Conduct face to identification (ID) checks for building access
• Conduct entry-exit inspections and form validation for all items into and out of the facility Document security related activities and results
• Access Control Officers shall provide access control services for government facility locations
• Access Control Officers shall control access of personnel, equipment, and media going into and out of the INSCOM and/or MSC secure facilities
• Access Control Officers shall visually determine, through face to face ID checks, that personnel accessing the SCIF have the specific badge required for facility access, and that personnel bringing in or exiting the facility with equipment and media have the Government-issued and approved equipment and media entry/exit authorization forms
• Access Control Officers shall issue ESCORT REQUIRED badges to all un-cleared personnel to include official visitors, unofficial visitors, foreign visitors, custodial, maintenance and repair services providers and construction workers
• Access Control Officers shall ensure security clearance and SCI access levels of all visitors requesting access to the SCIF are verified in Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or Scattered Castles and cleared visitors, both government and contractors are issued the appropriate visitor badge per the approved Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and notify sponsors of visitor arrival
• Access Control Officers shall conduct random entry/exit inspections in accordance with the local Entry/Exit Inspection Program (EEIP)
• Access Control Officers shall inspect and ensure personnel bringing in approved equipment and media have the appropriate Government issued and approved and valid equipment/media entry/exit authorization form
• Capture all entry-exit form reviews in a summary format within their journals for COR review Access Control Officers shall utilize Central Monitoring Stations (CMS) to include Lenel, and which are used to process 100% access verification and validation for all cleared and un-cleared individuals utilizing Government facilities
• The Access Control Officers shall maintain a shift log (CDRL A012) in accordance with Post and INSCOM Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Access Control Officers shall maintain sign-in sheets for cleared and un-cleared visitors for the facility
• Access Control Officers shall conduct an equipment and log inventory of government furnished equipment within 15 minutes of each shift change and maintain a log of accountability
• Access Control Officers shall provide immediate notification of any and all attempts to gain forceful entry, hostage conditions, fire, medical emergency and any other life-threatening situations (i.e. bomb threats) to DA police, (local police as a secondary measure) and or any other applicable emergency team i.e. (fire and rescue)

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizens
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience utilizing security systems such as DISS or Scattered Castles.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications required
• Ability to perform prolonged walking, standing, sitting and stooping for up to 12 hours
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language, understand and apply printed rules, detailed orders/instructions and training materials
