Job description

You’ve Never Been Satisfied with “Good Enough.”

You didn’t get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.

At Accenture Construct, that’s the job. You’ll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.

You’ll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won’t be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.

Because “good enough” builds the past. You’re here to build what’s next.

THE WORK:
  • You’ll manage daily construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, pay applications, change orders, schedule reviews, and project documentation; serve as the primary operational point of contact for the contractor and agency staff on day-to-day matters.
  • You’ll lead field oversight and inspection operations; direct inspection staff and ensure daily reports are prepared and delivered in full compliance with client requirements, and perform field inspections and site walks to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications; identify non-compliant work and coordinate corrective actions.
  • You’ll coordinate construction activities with contractors, utility providers, city staff, and community stakeholders; maintain effective working relationships across all project participants.
  • You’ll monitor and enforce contractor compliance with contract documents, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and public agency standards.
  • You’ll review construction plans, specifications, and project changes for constructability and practical field conditions; escalating risk and disputes to the project CM IV.
  • You’ll lead or actively participate in project coordination meetings; manage meeting documentation and action item tracking.
  • You’ll monitor contractor staffing, equipment utilization, schedule progress, and overall project effectiveness; report concerns and recommend corrective actions and assist with contractor payment review and recommend adjustments; provide documentation support for CM IV approval.
  • You’ll coordinate construction phasing and traffic control within active public environments and ensure all field changes and modifications are accurately documented on record drawings.
  • You’ll communicate proactively with agency staff, contractors, utility agencies, residents, and the public; elevate critical issues, delays, safety concerns, and stakeholder impacts to the CM IV immediately.
  • You’ll support multiple concurrent project assignments as needed and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Onsite at client site : The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field or 4 additional years of qualifying experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of construction management experience on municipal and/or public infrastructure projects, including at least 1 year supervising or inspecting engineering construction work.
  • Demonstrated delivery of CM services on projects within Orange County, supported by verifiable references from Orange County public agencies or municipalities.
  • Proven experience managing municipal roadway/street improvement projects (including sewer, water, storm drain, and dry utilities) and/or public vertical facilities (e.g., parks, libraries, fire stations, community facilities).

$130,000 - $160,000 a year

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
  • The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it’s complex and it matters, it’s on our list.
  • You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
  • AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You’ll use it, and you’ll help shape it.
  • Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
  • Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
  • Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That’s the point.
  • Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR’s 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction’s Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
ABOUT ACCENTURE CONSTRUCT
  • Accenture Construct is Accenture’s global capital projects business.
  • The data centers behind AI. The grid behind the energy transition. The rail, water and airports everything else runs on.
  • We plan them, engineer them, deliver them and hand them over — and unlike most of this market, we’re on the hook for whether they land on time. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. One team that owns the whole thing.
