Salary range for this position is $56,313 – $116,408 based on relevant experience and highest education completed.

Responsibilities

• Using the curriculum to work with teachers, specialists, and school leaders to accelerate student learning, content mastery, and skill acquisition.
• Act as a subject matter expert in mathematics, English and literacy, and/or working with students with special needs.
• Provide in‑person classroom assistance to teachers or assist a virtual teacher with conducting classroom activities.
• Pull small groups for differentiated learning in remediation and/or acceleration.
• Work in concert with colleagues to collect informal and formal data of students to assist with grouping and individualized support plans.
• Collaborate with grade‑level teams to diagnose and create individual and group learning plans.
• Actively plan with fellow teachers to ensure schedule, cycles of opportunities, and student groupings are scoped out in daily and weekly intervals.
• Work one‑on‑one with students for intensive tutoring, credit recovery, and academic support.
• Operate technology to include cameras, learning platforms, and learning tools.
• Help maintain order and discipline and assist in managing the behavior of students.
• Provide supervision throughout the school day, including in the classroom, halls, lunch, recess, and specials.
• Perform administrative and non‑instructional duties, such as keeping daily attendance; and ensure all CDC/safety protocols and procedures (e.g., fire drills) are implemented and followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Successful completion of the Praxis II Exam.
• One year of teaching experience and results demonstrating high student achievement and significant growth.
• Experience working with school‑age children.
• Must be comfortable with basic technology equipment/tools.
• Knowledge of and ability to ensure all CDC/safety protocols and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community.
• Commitment to teaching students from a minority and/or lower socioeconomic background is required.
• Urban teaching experience preferred.
