Orono Public Schools is seeking degreed professionals and licensed teachers to tutor elementary students in a variety of subjects. One hour tutoring sessions are offered on‑campus during before or after school hours. This part‑time position is a highly rewarding role, focused on providing personalized academic support, building confidence, and fostering a positive attitude toward learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide focused, individualized instruction and academic support to elementary students across a variety of subjects.
• Create a positive, patient, and engaging learning atmosphere that motivates students and builds their self‑esteem.
• Provide responsive and clear communication to families regarding scheduling and student progress.
• Communicate with district teachers and staff when appropriate, to best respond to student needs.

Qualifications
